Frequently asked questions
What sets the Obasan Classic Dunlop Latex Mattress apart from other latex beds?
It uses a firm 2" base layer, a customizable 4" middle Dunlop latex core, and a 2" soft top, all wrapped in a GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey cover with 900g of organic wool to regulate temperature and reduce pressure points.
Who would benefit most from this mattress and who might want a different option?
It's designed for adults of all builds and offers customizable zones in the middle layer, making it suitable for varying support needs. If you prefer a non-customizable, uniform feel, this model’s dual-sided customization may not be ideal.
How does the customization work for queen and king sizes?
Queen and King sizes can be customized by sleeping side, allowing different firmness and support on each side to match individual preferences.
What care or maintenance does this mattress require?
Place it on a solid foundation or slatted base with appropriate spacing, protect with a mattress protector, avoid getting it wet, and do not wash components. For spot cleaning, unzip the outer cover and gently clean with light soap and minimal water.
Which rooms or sleeping situations is this mattress best suited for?
The layered latex design with a wool topper provides pressure relief and temperature regulation, making it a good fit for bedrooms where individual comfort, temperature control, and long-term durability are priorities.
How does this mattress fit with other organic bedding or latex products?
As a natural latex mattress with a GOLS-certified latex core and a GOTS-certified cover, it pairs well with other organic bedding and can be complemented by compatible foundations and wool toppers for enhanced comfort.
